| Move the timeline to where you want the marker. Hit 'm' once to add the marker - it should be green and on top of your timeline. Hit 'm' a second time to edit the marker. In the edit marker window hit the Add Chapter Marker button. You can name the marker whatever you wish (I think it defaults to "Marker 1"), but notice when you hit Add Chapter Marker it adds the text " < CHAPTER>" to the comments field. Note that there is a space at the head of the text. Do Not change this text. Add as many markers as you like. Exporting the movie: File Menu > Export > Final Cut Pro Movie... This will bring you to a dialogue box with the following options: Save As: whatever Where: wherever Settings: CURRENT SETTINGS Quality: HI RES (1) Include: Audio and Video Markers: DVD Studio Pro Markers Recompress All Frames - will be greyed out when you Make movie Self-Contained - de-select this option. Save the file and then open it in Quick Time Pro. From QTPro export an MPEG-2 file. When you add this QTPRO MPEG-2 Export as an asset to DVDSP you should get your audio and video tracks and chapter markers. You can export an MPEG-2 file directly from FCP, however, in my experience with this shorter workflow to DVDSP all the Chapter Markers don't always translate. | |||||
